Bad breath, unfortunately most of us suffer from it. Sometimes brushing your teeth neatly three times a day does not cover the smell coming from your mouth. Today we have not one, not two, but three amazing recipes to cover that awful smell.
Recipe #1
What do you need?- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 2 drops of peppermint essential oil
- 2 drops of spearmint essential oil
- 1 drop of anise seed oil
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup of warmed distilled water
Mix the honey, essential oils and lemon juice in a container. Then add the warm water and mix until it is completely dissolved. Store your mouthwash in a clear bottle and use as needed. Shake your bottle well before each use, pour about 2-3 tablespoons into a glass, swirl around in your mouth and finally spit it out.
Recipe #2
What do you need?- 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar
- 2 cups of boiling water
What do you need to do?
Combine the vinegar with the boiling water and let it cool. Store your mouthwash in a clear bottle and use the same as in recipe #1.
Recipe #3
What do you need?- 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda
- 1/2 glass of water
What do you need to do?
Add the baking soda to half a glass of water, and use it to gargle.
Baking soda neutralized the odors in your mouth, rather than just covering them up, which is what so many of the liquid mouthwashed do. There are many benefits to using baking soda-based mouthwash: it is inexpensive to make yourself, which is ofcoure a big plus, it consists of all-natural ingredients, it does not have a strong taste and it is alcohol-free.
We are already hooked on these easy mouthwash recipes, our breath has never smelled beter (believe us, we tested it on some people :-)!
Happy DIY'ing!
