What do you need for creating nice curls in your hair? Well, a curling iron most of you would say. But not any more! We found a really cool video on Youtube the other day and were amazed by its simplicity, curling your hair has never been as easy (and cheap!).
In this video Thuha shows us how to create easy curls without using a curling iron but instead uses pens/pencils. Who ever imagined that your school supply had other use than just writing!
For this DIY it is important that your hair is damp. You can, like Thuha, spray your hair with water to make it damp, or you could just do this DIY after showering. Do make sure that your hair is 70/80% dry.
Thuha does not use hair products in this tutorial. On her Youtube channel she states that this hairstyle lasts for an entire day. We however tried it, and after two hours our hair was back to its original state, straight. We believe that the amount of time this hairstyle stays perfectly completely relies on your hair texture- okay, and the weather. Rain and wind is a no-go! If your curls disappear just as quickly as ours, just spray some hairspray in your hair before rolling it up on the pens. Also, after taking out the pens/pencils and combing it in shape with your fingers, spray some more hairspray.
